The element of chance did not just play a major role in the design process, it set the tempo for the design. After defining a basic framework and a few basic requirements (page templates), an autonomous design process was set in motion. The pages were generated digitally and spontaneously, without taking the different types of content into account. This produced an editorial design detached from the conventional and deliberate thought patterns of a designer.
