Climate change is a slow and abstract phenomenon, making it difficult for humans to grasp. This is why the biggest-selling Nordic newspaper Helsingin Sanomat created The Climate Crisis Font. This OpenType variable font helps people see the urgent problem of climate change in a more tangible form. The font's weight responds to NSIDC's and IPCC's data from 1979 to 2050, showing how the Arctic sea ice is expected to shrink due to climate change.
