“Bottega for Bottegas”
by LePub
(Italy) for Bottega Veneta
The Bottega for Bottegas festive initiative supports
and champions Italian artisanal talent across Italy. By
shifting the spotlight away from the Bottega Veneta
products to other smaller bottega products, the
initiative highlights the pinnacle of Italian mastery
available in multiple bottegas.
The European Star Award, established in 2019, seeks out ideas promoting European values such as diversity and inclusion, freedom, justice, and peace. In 2020, it was renamed the European Star Johannes Newrkla Award in honour of the founding member of the ADCE who passed away due to COVID-19.
“The Forgotten Team”
by
Dentsu Creative
(Portugal) for MEO
Reports of corruption and human rights abuses during the construction of stadiums and infrastructure for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar made it a highly controversial event. As the largest broadcaster in Portugal and long-time national team sponsor, MEO questioned whether it had upheld its ethical principles while meeting all of its commercial obligations. “The Forgotten Team” is a
poignant tribute to the thousands of migrant workers who died for the 2022 World Cup.
The Equal Star Award seeks to reward works that
promote inclusion, gender equality, and combat discrimination. It also celebrates creativity that challenges stereotypes.
“The Vulva Spaceship”
by
Innocean Berlin
(Germany) for Wer Braucht Feminismus
To redirect attention to their cause amidst the phallic space race narrative, the creators devised the first- ever spaceship shaped like a vulva. Accompanied by a film offering a behind-the-scenes look at the project of the project and explaining the spaceship’s design process, this initiative used actors playing scientists and engineers to lend legitimacy to the endeavour. The aim was to highlight existing inequalities, like the underrepresentation of women in positions of authority and the persistence of the gender pay gap.
