What’s the difference between propaganda and news? Two specially created identical AI bots set out to answer this question. The twin bots, which had no background and no experience, were ‘weaned’ on news programmers. One ‘watched’ state TV Russia-1, the other – the independent Rain TV. Six months later, they could answer any question – using only the vocabulary of the programmers they had watched. The story went viral on the internet, with 93% voters favouring Rain TV’s AI bot.
