The cinematography is a homage to outer-space films (from the iconic “2001: A Space Odyssey” and “Interstellar” to the intense universe palette in “Ad Astra”), where fixed frames show how infinite the universe is. We wanted the viewer to feel just as admiring the landscape of a Renaissance painting feels. A deep study of each frame, angles and lights, turns closed-up scenes into cosmic landscapes and the editing conveys a sense of suspended time.
