Emergency is an Italian NGO that provides free medical and surgical care to the victims of war, landmines, poverty, and stands for civil rights all around the world. The film shows the devastating effects of war on people's lives through the touching photos shot by Giles Duley. We see ordinary people whose names have a strong meaning like "may God protect" or "fortunate, blessed". Meanings that are suddenly and sadly distorted by the consequences of war.
