In Germany, 12.8 million people go to a tanning booth every year. As a result, 3.400 of them have skin cancer. To reduce skin cancer cases, German Cancer Aid is seeking to have tanning booths banned by law. To raise awareness of this issue, Spectrum – the world’s most dangerous artwork was created. Made out of real UV-tubes, it produces radiation so intense that protective clothing must be worn to worship the deadly Sun.
