Bride kidnapping, a tradition still alive in Kyrgyzstan, was taboo for the most of the population and media. The online news portal Kloop decided to break the silence with the koshogo campaign. According to tradition, the bride must walk under a koshogo – a white veil – to consent to marriage. To highlight this situation, reports by victims of bride kidnapping that were rejected by the police were printed on koshogos.
