UEFA Euro 2016. The perfect opportunity for a brand to present itself if it’s an official sponsor. BURGER KING wasn’t. So it needed a football-crazy idea. Like the holy turf on which Germany became European Champion in 1996 to cultivate ingredients for 96 special Whopper sandwiches on it. An online film kicked off the campaign that immediately went viral, thrilling even former Euro-heroes. Finally 96 lucky winners were able to taste the winning -spirit.
