Men's sports series are not named after their gender, but all women's sports are. To prove its focus on equality, the Finnish Football Association renamed the Women's League the "National League" – the world's first women's sports series without the word "women" in its name. The change reached over 400 million people, ticket sales (+22%) and TV viewers (+33%) increased, and press coverage hit all-time highs (+47%). Sweden also dropped 'women' from their league's name.
