"Sights of Tomorrow" turned Google Maps into climate activism: AI images of Austrian landmarks, scientifically adjusted to show their likely 2070 appearance, were uploaded via a loophole and surfaced as if real. The visuals confronted users with an unavoidable view of the crisis, turning casual map-browsing into a reckoning. The campaign reached millions without media spend, went viral, and shifted perceptions of climate activism.
