Back in 2023, when we searched for the word 'surfer' in major commercial image archives, we found images of every type of surfer. The only thing we couldn’t find was a picture of a Black girl surfing. To change that, Betclic, in partnership with Shutterstock Studios and the NGO SOMA Surf, created the world’s first curated collection of commercial images featuring Black girls surfing, aiming to change the world one photograph at a time.
