#ToArtItsFreedom, a campaign which celebrated 100 years of Viennese Modernism, was rolled out in the US after its great success in Germany and the UK. While Egon Schieleʼs 100-year-old nude drawings had to be concealed on posters in public spaces, a completely uncensored version was allowed to be shown in the form of a mural. This curious double standard once again stimulated a media discussion about the representation of nudity in public.
