Based on ZETAK’s nature, an electronic band that reinterprets Euskal Herria’s traditional music to create new sounds, Arbizu, a custom typeface conceived under the same idea, was designed. Ancient characters from the Basque alphabet were rescued and juxtaposed with a modern sans serif, resulting in a modern view of the traditional Basque imaginary. Each Arbizu character contains three alternatives that are set randomly, lend musicality and rhythm to the typeface.
