Chasing Dragons is a photographic journey that explores the transformation of the dragon in contemporary China—a traditionally sacred symbol that has become an object of consumption in a context of accelerated capitalism. This documentary project takes on the challenge of observing a culture through the lens of a Western photographer, fully aware of the orientalist undertones that can accompany such a gaze.
