LMBTQI couples in Hungary dare not celebrate Valentine’s day in public.nThat’s why Budapest Pride came up with the ‘Empty Tables’ activation. On Valentine’s day, 42 of fully booked local restaurants left a table empty with a rainbow-colored candle and a standee on it to show their support for the LGBTQI couples who did not dare to come.nIt started as a powerful gesture that turned into a nationwide movement in one day.
