“What does our future look like?” This question inspired my bachelor’s thesis. My goal was to create a powerful, socially relevant story that addresses current political issues as well as moral and interpersonal dilemmas, all told in a creative and innovative way.rnThe narrative touches on not only ecological concerns but also social and economic dimensions. The final product is a motion-capture animated CGI short film set in a dystopian future, where Earth is scarred and devastated by climate catastrophe. Humanity relies on external oxygen and survives in high-altitude industrial cities, while everyone hopes for salvation through the government’s EXiT program – a project promising relocation to a nearby planet. As the story unfolds, the viewer, through the eyes of the protagonists, uncovers the truth behind the infamous EXiT initiative.rnThrough film, I can convey stories with moving images, creating an emotionally immersive experience for the audience. This medium allows me to tell a gripping story while raising awareness of the urgent issues of our time. The science fiction genre serves as a powerful tool to transport viewers into a world that mirrors our own, offering a deeper exploration of human nature and its challenges.
