The Ateneum museum’s brief was to design “a jewelry box-like” catalogue/book for the exhibition ”Gothic Modern”. The book’s red cover and overall redness was inspired by the artwork in the book. The open spine allows the spreads to lie almost completely flat. Some of the artworks required more horizontal space, so the book features three fold-out spreads. The typefaces PP Writer and Serifbabe Alpha combine readability with Gothic and contemporary with ease.
