Keti Koti (‘Broken Chains’) commemorates the abolition of slavery in the Netherlands, Suriname, and the Antilles. To mark the 150th anniversary on July 1, 2023, BUCK created 150 traditional angisa scarves, with proceeds going to The Black Archives. The scarf’s colours, drawn from Caribbean flags, and imagery symbolise shared history. BUCK also produced social animations with Afro-Caribbean music and posters displayed across Amsterdam to raise awareness around Keti Koti.
