70% of chronic pain patients are women, yet 80% of studies focus on men. Only 1% of healthcare innovation targets female-specific conditions—though women make up 51% of the population. The 51% Project reveals this data gap through an interactive hospital installation where doctors engage with a virtual patient – their digital daughter. The project exposes the limits of current medical knowledge and motivates doctors to take concrete steps toward closing the gap and improving women’s health.
