War: Kids’ drawings in VR animation

For decades, the Museum of the History of St. Petersburg has kept 700+ unique children’s pictures drawn during the Leningrad siege, known as the longest siege in human history, which took hundreds of thousands of lives. To mark the 75th anniversary of victory over Germany in World War Two, it was decided to bring these drawings back to life — through virtual reality. A 20-episode video series features works by world’s top VR animators reviving cultural heritage through digital art.
