Task:
Ravensburg does not have a city park. People have no direct retreat from their daily lives. A barely used parking lot is to be transformed into a green city park. Local conditions such as festivities and parking requirements as well as the opinions of key players must be taken into account. The task is to implement the complex idea of a park design, taking these conditions into account and incorporating the opinions of citizens as a core component.
Idea:
Our idea focuses on placing the needs and wishes of the citizens of Ravensburg at the center of the park design, which is co-designed by the community and reflects their needs. Through a participatory and digital approach, citizens are involved in the planning process from the very beginning to ensure that the park fulfills their ideas of an ideal recreational area and that they can be directly part of the design.
Solution:
Our solution is to create an interactive platform that allows citizens to actively participate in the design of the park. Through a participatory campaign, citizens can jointly decide on the future design of the park on the user-friendly app and can continue to configure the park even after completion. This principle can also be transferred from Ravensburg to other urban development programs.
