In May 2012 five guys in a sauna started to wonder why there isn’t a rye whisky distillery in Finland and that there should definitely be one. That’s how Kyrö Distillery Company was born. The first product ‘Juuri’ was introduced in 2013, followed soon by small batch of ‘Napue’ gin, which was actually voted the World’s Best Gin for gin & tonic in 2015. The distillery also produces matured gin and rye. The first batch of Finnish rye whisky will be available in 2017.
