On April 9, 1989, Soviet troops killed 21 peaceful protesters in Tbilisi. Tulips became a mourning symbol. In 2025, Georgia’s pro-Russian government marked it as “violence by a foreign power,” refusing to name Russia. While brands stayed silent, our agency, Supermarket, spoke up: one post, tulips on asphalt spelling “RUSSIA DID IT.” No media spend, thousands of shares, major media pickup. Sometimes one image tells the truth.
