Hiltl in Zurich was the first vegetarian restaurant worldwide. It was founded in 1898 by Ambrosius Hiltl and is now run by the fourth generation of the Hiltl family. Today, Hiltl includes 6 vegetarian restaurants, 5 takeaways, a butchery, a cooking school and vegetarian catering for events.
