In Latvian tradition, the solstice is a time when mythical worlds mix – when light alternates with darkness, the good with the evil, and the flower crown becomes our guardian. So we created a symbolic circle of protection in which to wrap all the people of Riga. The specially made photographs used in the outdoor posters were created using original techniques, creating multi-layered compositions, visually referring to the moment of midsummer between darkness and light.
