SafeTrays

Food allergies are one of the most common chronic conditions worldwide, yet they are often overlooked in everyday settings like cafés. In countries such as Portugal, where there is limited allergy care training for food service workers, those with allergies can face challenges when trying to eat safely. Typically, customers must ask about allergens, which can lead to discomfort or embarrassment. SafeTrays aims to simplify this process, making allergen information more accessible without the need to rely heavily on staff for clarification.

SafeTrays provides a convenient, intuitive solution for people with food allergies by offering trays that allow easy allergen identification. These trays are designed to be marked with washable chalk markers, and their built-in dents ensure accurate and easy allergen marking. This clear visual system reduces the risk of cross-contamination and allows customers to quickly identify any potential allergens in their food.

Moreover, SafeTrays come in three different sizes to accommodate varying portions, ensuring that no matter how much food is being served, there is a tray that fits. This eliminates the need for food to be transferred or shared across different trays, which could otherwise increase the risk of allergen exposure.

By using SafeTrays, customers with allergies can feel more confident when dining out, while also minimizing the reliance on café staff for allergen information. This practical solution promotes a safer and more inclusive environment, allowing people with food allergies to enjoy their meals without added stress.
