Communication technologies for ALS patients are currently inaccessible to 90% of Spanish patients. However, Spanish homes already have the hardware needed to talk again. The cameras on Samsung tablets costing €200 can track people’s eyes, so software was created to empower this technology and democratize communication. Thanks to Bixby, Samsung’s voice assistant, the app can be used to control different devices and home appliances.
