St. Pauli Peeback

With over 20 million visitors, St. Pauli, is one of Germany’s most famous party districts. Urinatig in public is locally considered a huge problem. It ruins the district’s image and pisses off local residents. So a very direct solution was found to the problem of people who pee against these walls. A super-hydrophobic coating was applied to highly frequented walls. The coating is so water-repellent that urine splashes back.
