Smart has a mission: to find new solutions for urban problems. Rather than just communicate this, it also had to be proven. Because cross-walks are the most dangerous spots in the city, the agency conducted an urban experiment to test the traffic lights where everybody likes to wait, with a dancing red traffic light figure. Passers-by could slip into the role of the red man. Their movements were brought to the traffic lights in real-time. The result was that 81% more people waited.
