It’s customary at German weddings to wish the bride and groom luck by smashing porcelain. The noise, they say, drives away evil spirits. Drawing inspiration from this tradition, Rosenthal looked for an innovative delivery method for their vouchers. The result was a new packaging called The Weddinglope. The first envelope is made entirely from porcelain but what makes it so special is that the wedding gift, a voucher for tableware, is sealed inside. To get to it, you have to smash the envelope.
