In German’s largest cities, the Child Protection League inaugurated an empty statue plinth: ‘The Secret Sculpture’. An AR app shows 42 pieces of art – created by 42 artists – on the plinth: one artwork for each of the 42 articles of the UN Convention on the children’s rights. This new type of museum experience was also a public appeal to politicians to implement children’s rights enshrined in the constitution. Through an invisible protest, children’s rights finally become visible.
